Juventus is eyeing North Macedonian midfielder Elif Elmas as part of their plans to bolster the squad during the summer transfer window, a move that could see the player return to Serie A and reunite with his former coach Luciano Spalletti.
Elmas is still under contract with RB Leipzig, who signed him from Napoli in January 2024 for €24 million, but his experience at the German club has not gone as hoped, having returned to Italy through consecutive loans to Torino and then Napoli.
According to "Tutto Mercato Web," a return to Serie A this summer is possible for Elmas, but with Juventus, who are interested in signing a versatile midfielder capable of playing in multiple positions, including on the wing.
Elmas previously worked under Spalletti at Napoli, where they together won the Serie A title during the 2022/2023 season, making a reunion between them a viable option if the deal goes through.
The report added that Juventus is not the only club interested in the player's services, as Aston Villa has inquired about his situation, but they are currently focusing on other priorities in the transfer market.
Elmas is contracted with Leipzig until June 2028 and will turn 27 next September, while a transfer could be available on loan with a relatively low purchase option.
