Daniele De Rossi, the head coach of Genoa, is looking to sign Roma striker Artem Dovbik during the summer transfer window, while the capital club aims to sell the player, despite obstacles that may hinder his move to Genoa.

Dovbik joined Roma in the summer of 2024 for €30.5 million, scoring 12 goals in 32 Serie A matches during his first season, before his role diminished last season due to injuries.

The report added that Roma plans to rebuild its attacking line, benefiting from Donyell Malen's impressive form, and is prioritizing Mason Greenwood as well, but completing any attacking deal requires Dovbik's departure first.

Sky Sport Italia reported that Dovbik's salary of €3.5 million per year is the biggest obstacle to his transfer to Genoa, despite ongoing communications between the two clubs.

Roma prefers to sell the Ukrainian striker outright rather than loaning him, believing that a move outside Italy is the most likely option, while Turkish club Trabzonspor remains among the interested teams, noting that his contract with the club runs until the summer of 2029.
