Argentina's camp is feeling relieved ahead of their highly anticipated match against Egypt, scheduled for 7 PM on Tuesday, as part of the Round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup.
According to Argentine network "TyC Sports," both the coaching staff and players are greatly relieved by the timing of the match, as well as the venue at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which offers better weather conditions compared to previous matches.
The report added that Argentina will not face the high temperatures that affected their performance during the match against Cape Verde, where heat and humidity took a toll on the team.
The same source noted that Mercedes-Benz Stadium is equipped with a retractable roof and air conditioning, making the atmosphere inside the stadium suitable for the match, despite expectations of an outside temperature reaching 33 degrees Celsius on match day.
The network highlighted that the Argentine team has previously played in similar conditions in air-conditioned stadiums during their matches against Austria and Jordan in Dallas, without facing any weather-related issues.
Argentina had struggled during their 3-2 victory over Cape Verde in the Round of 32, where high temperatures and humidity in Miami led to several players, including Facundo Medina and Enzo Fernández, suffering from muscle cramps.
