Argentina's preparations have been thrown into disarray ahead of their Round of 16 match against Egypt in the 2026 World Cup, as the team's flight from Miami to Atlanta was delayed due to weather conditions, according to TyC Sports.

The flight, originally scheduled to depart at 2:15 AM local time on Monday, took off more than 15 minutes late due to heavy rain and thunderstorms affecting Atlanta.

The journey is expected to take one hour and 40 minutes, but the delay will impact the team's schedule, with arrival in Atlanta now expected much later than planned. After landing, the team will head to a hotel approximately 30 minutes from the airport, meaning they will reach their accommodation around midnight.

This situation may prompt head coach Lionel Scaloni to reconsider the timing of the training session set for Monday at 5:30 PM local time, allowing players more rest after the late arrival.

Argentina is gearing up to face Egypt in the World Cup Round of 16, aiming to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.
