Borussia Dortmund has officially announced the signing of young Japanese midfielder Takato Yamamoto from Gamba Osaka on a one-year loan deal.

The German club stated that the 18-year-old, who is part of Japan's U19 national team, will bolster the ranks of Dortmund's second team for the upcoming season as part of the club's plan to develop young talents.

The signing of Yamamoto comes after he was scouted by Dortmund officials, as he is considered one of the rising stars in Japanese football. The club hopes to see him continue his development within their system in preparation for a future step with the first team.

Borussia Dortmund welcomed their new player through their official channels, wishing him success in his first experience in German football after moving from Gamba Osaka to take on a new challenge in his career.
