Moroccan coach Jamal Salami has officially ended his tenure with the Jordan national team, following an announcement from Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, president of the Jordan Football Association, regarding the conclusion of his mission with the "Nashama" after the team's participation in the 2026 World Cup.


Prince Ali expressed his gratitude to Salami via his official account on X, praising the contributions made by the Moroccan coach during his time in charge of the national team, affirming that his efforts will remain significant in the history of Jordanian football.


The Jordanian Football Association president stated: "During my meeting with dear brother Captain Jamal Salami today, as we conclude your journey with the Nashama, we thank you for your outstanding efforts and contributions, and for your role in achieving the historic milestone of our national team's qualification for the World Cup."


He added: "Your experience with the Nashama was exceptional, and you will always remain a beloved son of Jordan, for your dedication, professionalism, and leadership spirit."


Salami led the Jordanian national team to an unprecedented achievement by qualifying for the World Cup finals for the first time in its history, before his World Cup adventure ended with three defeats in the group stage against Austria, Algeria, and Argentina, thus marking the end of his journey with the "Nashama."
