Sanfrecce Hiroshima has officially signed Ivorian striker Sebastian Haller on a free transfer, marking the 32-year-old's first professional experience outside Europe after leaving Utrecht.


Haller has an impressive career in European football, having played for Auxerre, Utrecht, Eintracht Frankfurt, West Ham United, Ajax Amsterdam, and Borussia Dortmund, before returning to Utrecht. He now embarks on a new challenge in the J-League.


The Japanese club hopes to leverage Haller's vast experience and goal-scoring abilities to strengthen their attack for the upcoming season, especially given his extensive experience in domestic and European competitions, along with his international appearances for the Ivory Coast national team.
