Brazilian winger Raphinha of Barcelona has returned to group training with the national team after gradually recovering from an injury that kept him out of recent matches. However, his participation in the Round of 16 match against Norway in the 2026 World Cup remains unlikely.
According to Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Raphinha has completed individual training and joined the team sessions, but head coach Carlo Ancelotti prefers not to risk him for Sunday’s match.
The player suffered a hamstring injury during the match against Haiti, which caused him to miss games against Scotland and Japan before starting an intensive rehabilitation program over the past two weeks.
The newspaper added that Raphinha may be on the bench against Norway, while the team aims to prepare him for a potential appearance in the quarter-finals if Brazil advances.
